Thank you for your ongoing commitment to learning, leadership, and public service. The work
you do every day continues to create lasting impacts across California, and the Institute is proud

In this week’s update, we’re highlighting the Institute’s course spotlight, upcoming virtual
courses, and the latest news from the CSAC Grants Initiative.
255 Reinvigorating Team Performance:
Strategies for Alignment with Xochitl Morales, ML

At a recent visit to the San Bernardino County CSAC Institute Campus, Xochitl Morales, ML, met
with county leaders to share strategies for strengthening team engagement and performance.
One powerful takeaway focused on the impact of reframing tasks: shifting from “You need to do
this task” to “You’re capable of this task” can foster greater confidence, ownership, and
motivation among team members. Small changes in communication can make a meaningful
difference in workplace culture and how teams respond to challenges.
Thank you to Xochitl and to our partners in San Bernadino County, for your dedication, not only
to public service and professional growth, but to each other.

& Financial Management Training webinars highlighted interest in additional professional
development opportunities related to county finance, budgeting, fiscal leadership, organizational
resilience, and related topics.
As the CSAC Institute evaluates future training opportunities, we invite county leaders and staff
to share their perspectives on current challenges, priorities, and professional development
needs. Your feedback will help inform future course offerings, resources, and training
