Understanding AT&T’s Landline Disconnection Notices On May 20, 2026, AT&T submitted applications  to  discontinue  residential and business telephone service provided over legacy copper-based telephone network landlines, commonly referred to as plain old telephone service (POTS), across California on or after June 1, 2027, affecting approximately 184,000 residential customers and 15,000 business customers. Draft Regulations Expand Advanced Clean Fleet Regulations Earlier this month the California Air Resources Board (CARB) released a revised set of amendments to its Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) regulations. For background the ACF regulations mandate that state and local governments — including counties — transition their medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicle fleets to zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) by 2030. Packaging Producer Responsibility Plan Released for Public Comment On Monday, the Circular Action Alliance (CAA) submitted the draft “California Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Program Plan” (Plan) to the Packaging Producer Responsibility Advisory Board (Advisory Board) as required by California’s Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Responsibility Act (Senate Bill 54 (Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022)). Intimate Partner Violence Prevention Program – Competitive Funding Opportunity The California Office of Emergency Services’ Victim Services Branch has released a competitive funding opportunity supported with funds from both the Services, Training, Officers, and Prosecutors (STOP) Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program and the Family Violence Prevention and Services/Domestic Violence Shelter and Supportive Services (FVPS) Grant Program.
