In this week’s update, we’re excited to announce upcoming special programs which includes the
2026-2027 Technology Executive Credential Program, SB 827 Fiscal and Financial
Training and the Realignment 101.
Registration Now Open for the 2026-2027
Technology Executive Credential Program
As technology continues to reshape county government, strong technology leadership has never
been more important. In partnership with the California County Information Services Directors
Association (CCISDA), the CSAC Institute is now accepting registrations for the 2026–2027
Technology Executive Credential Program.
Through this year-long cohort, participants strengthen their leadership skills, expand their
statewide professional network, learn from experienced county CIOs and technology executives,
and apply their knowledge through a real-world capstone project that addresses county
technology challenges.
Program Highlights
· Leadership Development - Build the leadership and management skills needed to lead
technology organizations in county government.
· Learn from County Technology Leaders - Courses are developed and taught by
experienced CCISDA members and county technology executives.
· Collaborative Mentorship - Work alongside peers while receiving guidance from county
CIOs and IT leaders.
· Capstone Project - Apply what you've learned by developing and presenting a team
project focused on real county challenges.
· Statewide Professional Network - Connect with technology professionals from
counties throughout California and build lasting relationships.
· Professional Recognition - Graduates are recognized during the CCISDA Fall
Conference.
· Scholarships Available - Financial assistance is available for participants from smaller
counties.
· Program Format - ten courses completed over one year.
· Program Tuition - $1,299 for the full 2026–2027 credential program.

SB 827 Fiscal & Financial Management Training
Registration is now open for the next live offering of the CSAC Institute's SB 827 Fiscal &
Financial Management Training on Monday, September 21, 2026.
SB 827 requires certain local elected and appointed officials, as well as designated employees,
to complete fiscal and financial management training. The CSAC Institute's training is designed
to help participants meet this state-mandated requirement while strengthening financial
stewardship, governance, and decision-making.
Space is limited, so we encourage you to register early to reserve your spot.

Mark your calendar for California Realignment Training, taking place Wednesday, October 28 –
Thursday, October 29, 2026, in Sacramento.
Whether you're new to Realignment or looking to strengthen your understanding of its fiscal,
policy, and operational impacts, this training provides practical knowledge you can immediately
apply in your county.
Registration will open soon. Additional details will be shared in the coming weeks.
