“50 years later, the CDC admits the polio vaccine was tainted with SV40, a cancer-causing virus from monkey cells.
Up to 30 million Americans received it.
‘Coincidentally,’ cancer rates exploded in the following decades.
But today’s vaccines? Totally safe, they promise.
The pattern is clear …
The exact number of people exposed worldwide is unknown but likely tens of millions …
• In the 1950s–early 1960s, millions of doses of polio vaccine (both injected and oral) were contaminated with SV40, a virus from monkey kidney cells used to grow the vaccine.
• The CDC estimates 10–30 million Americans received SV40-contaminated polio vaccine.
• SV40 has been found in certain human cancers (brain, bone, lung, etc.), but the CDC and most official sources say the evidence does not prove it causes cancer in humans — though some studies show conflicting results and more research
is needed.
The contamination was discovered in 1960, but contaminated lots continued to be used for a while after that.“
