Subject: Follow up to request for additional space
To our Supervisors and General Services Director,
This is a follow up to our May 10, 2026 email requesting the use of the old Iversen
Center for additional use by the Veterans of Butte County.
Included with this email is our follow up letter in response to the email from Dennis
Schmidt, who was the Interim Director of General Services at the time. A hard copy of this information
was provided to Tara Repka Flores, the new General Services Director, on August 7, 2026 during a visit
to tour the Chico Veterans Memorial Hall (CVMH).
I have included material from the original email as well as pictures and reports of issues we have had at
the current hall. The CVMH Committee is hopeful that you will put the safety and security of the Veterans
of Butte County first and consider our request.
